Software:

Cartes du Ciel - A great, FREE astronomy charting program. It rivals comercial programs costing over $100 ( Megastar is still worth the price, though). Be sure to download the "add-ons" that display the Milky Way, Planetary Satellites, more stars, neblae, etc.. Did I say it's free?

Planets202 - A great Jovian moon simulator from an English astronomy club! It includes shadow transits and Great Red Spot location. It also includes Saturn and a Solar System orrery, both Earth centered (like Ptolemy!) & Sun centered. Freeware

Software List Compilation - on SEDS.
